Getting Around

Best routes for travel on the day

Ceremony

If you are coming to the Ceremony we recommend getting a Taxi if you can so you're not late. Our Ceremony is at Hackney Town Hall which is outside Hackney Central Overground Station. This station has a direct line from Stratford (which is the end of the line so trains can only go one way!). The overground line for those unfamiliar is the Orange line on the tube map.

Transport from the Ceremony to the Party is provided. However if you would rather not join us on the bus we can drop you at our venue where there is a pub across the road and you can greet us when we arrive.

The route from Stratford City Station to Hackney Central is a short ride on the Overground trains through; Hackney Wick and Homerton. The end of the line will be either Richmond or Gospal Oaks.

The Party

The Party is being held at Hoxton Arches in Hoxton and is literally across the road from Hoxton Overground station. If you'd rather skip the bus tour of London you can take the 30 minute walk from Hackney Town Hall to Hoxton Arches. Or you can get the 48/55 Buses or if you're feeling more adventurous you can get back on at Hackney Central and change at the next stop from Dalston Kingsland to Dalston Junction (across the road from each other) and then get off at Hoxton (bit of a hassle!).

The route from Hackney Town Hall to Hoxton Arches if you wish to make your own way there.

If you're coming to just the party and are NOT coming from Stratford City you can come via either Old Street (Northern Line / Black) or Liverpool Street Stations (Central Line/ Red, Hammersmith & City / Pink, District / Green, Circle Line / Yellow). From either station it should be about a 15-20 minute walk or you can grab a bus.

The route from Old Street Station (Northern Line / Black).

The route from Liverpool Street Station (Central Line/ Red, Hammersmith & City / Pink, District / Green, Circle Line / Yellow).

Getting Home

The party shouldn't finish no later than midnight. As it currently stands tube services will be running, however this August the TFL will be launching their Night Tube service which will mean the Old Street and Liverpool Street Stations will be open all night on Saturdays.

If you're staying over in Stratford the Overground Line tends to close early at around 10.30pm. After that we recommend you get a taxi or walk to Liverpool Street and get Central Line tube to Stratford which is a short 20 minute journey.

Being the metropolitan city that London is you can book a taxi easily on your phone using either Uber (private drivers for hire) or Addison Lee (fully licenced and trusted). An Uber to Stratford should cost round £12-15, Addison Lee should cost around £18-20 at a best guess. Splitting cab fares and traveling together is recommended.
